New Bill Made In Rhode Island For The Legalization of Recreational Marijuana
PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island – Lawmakers have proposed legalizing marijuana again after previous bills have failed to pass. A bill to tax and legalize recreational marijuana is returning to Rhode Island’s General Assembly.
Democratic politicians in the area have plans to introduce the bill in the R.I. House and Senate this month. Supporters are hopeful that the tax burden on medical marijuana patients will not be as strong if Recreational Marijuana is legalized in the state.
If you live in Rhode Island, please take a moment to contact your legislators about this important bill. Let them know that you support it. It is encouraged that you submit a personalized letter if you or a loved one could benefit from the legal access of medical marijuana.
