Oregon Recreational Marijuana Sales Will Begin Earlier Than Expected

marijuana

Tuesday, July 28 – Gov. Kate Brown signed a law allowing marijuana users in Oregon to purchase cannabis legally in existing medical marijuana dispensaries starting October 1st. This comes only three months after Oregon’s reformed marijuana law went into effect (Measure 91 – which legalized the possession, use and sale of recreational marijuana for adults).

Adults will be able to purchase marijuana legally almost a year earlier than expected.

This Law allows adults over the age of 21 to purchase up to a quarter ounce of recreational marijuana per day at medical marijuana shops. Adults are also allowed up to four flowering plants as well as the sale and purchase of seeds is also legal.
